Beautiful Birthday Parties
Ages 3 - 13
Ninety minute Birthday ParTeas for ages 3 through 13 are all custom created.
$35 per head (includes snacks, lemonade/fruit tea ($350 minimum)
You book the party a few weeks in advance.
On the day: I decorate and set up for the tea party.
Your child is shown how to:
- greet guests politely, be relaxed and make guests feel relaxed,
- sit at the table, serve food to each other, chew, speak and behave politely,
It's this simple: You choose what you want to do...
I arrange and follow through.
For treats and food, please choose 3:
jam and cream scones
cookies or cupcakes
cucumber sandwiches or shortbread
strawberries and vegetable crudités
popcorn
ice-cream served in cones (your choice in flavor)
From the following beverages, please choose one:
fruit tea: blueberry/peach/cherry/hibiscus/raspberry
lemonade
apple juice
YOU PROVIDE THE BIRTHDAY CAKE WITH CANDLES ( I bring the plates, cake forks and napkins)
I decorate the room and set up child size tables and chairs along with china crockery.
I read a story, play games with the children, do an activity, and teach simple table etiquette.
PARTY THEMES:
Teddy Bears’ Picnic ParTeas (for girls and boys age 3 and 4) Invite your friends and bring your Teddy Bears to have a cup of peach or honey tea, along with sweet and savory treats on your special day! Also share the fun of practicing table manners through “The Teddy Bears Teach Manners” song, playing “The Teddy Bear’s Picnic” game, making a Teddy Bear 3D Picture, and listening to a Bear Story with your favorite bear and friends.
Fairy ParTeas (for girls ages 3 through 6) Fairies love to dress up with wings, wands and sparkling gems to hear a fairy story and make flower fairies, before sitting down to sip blueberry tea from porcelain tea cups. We also enjoy feasting on handmade fairy sandwiches and cakes… and a fairy ice-cream birthday cake. As fairies need to know how to behave at the table, we practice good table manners. Before departing, all fairies receive a fairy ParTea bag.
Prince and Princess ParTeas (for boys and girls ages 3 through 8)
All donned with tiaras, /pretty jewelry and scepters, we sit around a tea table to sip blueberry tea/lemonade from porcelain tea cups, and enjoy handmade cucumber sandwiches, scones and ice-cream birthday cake…all fit for royalty! As all princes and princesses need to know how to behave at the table, we also learn and practice good table manners. At the beginning of the party we will listen to a Prince and Princesses story (e.g. The Ordinary Princess) enjoy a royal activity (Pass the Parcel) and play a royal game (Pin the slipper on the Princess) before leaving with a special ParTea bag.
Gorgeous Garden Creatures ParTeas (for boys and girls ages 3 through 8)
Dress up as a ladybug, bird, bee, grasshopper or butterfly and attend a delicious tea comprising honey tarts, fruit sticks, rainbow ice-cream cake and lemonade nectar… all served on china plates and in china cups! As good garden creatures need to know how to behave at the table, we also learn and practice good table manners. After playing The Beatle Game, and moving like insect to insect poems from The Bug Book and Treasury of Poetry, we make a garden craft, and depart with a Gorgeous Garden Creatures ParTea bag.
It’s Garden Birthday ParTea Time! (for girls and boys ages 5 through 13)
What fun to dress up in a lovely hat/flower/fascinator and share your special day sipping tea in a rose garden! Everyone sits around a fancy tea-table drinking hibiscus tea/lemonade from china tea cups, and enjoying delightful birthday treats and a flower birthday cake. We learn and practice good table manners after listening to and enacting The Fearless Flower story. After making paper flowers, we play Musical Flower-Chairs, everyone leaves with a ParTea bag and a flower pin. The birthday girl keeps her favorite tea-cup and saucer.
ParTea Time with your American Girl Doll (for girls ages 6 through 13)
Share your special day with your favorite doll wearing a hat or fascinator! Ask your friends to bring their American Girl Doll to your party and sit at a tea table drinking peach tea/lemonade from china tea cups, as well as enjoying delightful birthday cakes, treats and ice-cream. There will be a time over tea for everyone to share something special about their doll, and learn something new. We will of course practice and teach good tea-table manners to our dolls. We will play an American Girl Doll game and make a piece of jewelry or an accessory for her, before leaving with a ParTea bag. The birthday girl keeps her favorite tea cup and saucer.
Creative Cupcakes Compete (ages 9 through 13)
First we form teams and choose themes: (under the sea/fish/plants/flowers/insects/animals/birds/dinosaurs)
Then we make cupcakes from scratch.
While the cakes are baking we chop veggies for crudités, make lemonade or fruit tea, and play a game or do an activity.
When the cupcakes are baked, the teams decorate and arrange them on plates using the theme that was chosen and tell a story with the help of plastic figurines and a little imagination. VOILA! Winners are chosen and we all sit at the pretty birthday table set with china tea pots, plates, cups and saucers. to eat what we have made, and enjoy the lemonade or a choice of fruit tea.
